Well it has been a couple of weeks since I've posted anything on my blog so I thought I better get my ass in gear and git to it.
Been keeping busy trying to finish up my third book so that I can send it off to the publishers. For some damned reason this last book has been and absolute bitch to write. The characters just weren't jumping out at me like they usually do.
Since I write directly from my head to my laptop (I don't write a bunch of notes etc.) I was sitting in front of my screen waiting for the words to come to me. But nothing came...nada...zip..zilch. It really started to piss me off. Then one of my fellow authors posted a link to a blog that blasted whatever cobwebs had formed in my brain, right out of the water. For any writer having difficulty with a story go have a look at the below link:

So for the last few weeks I've been writing like a mad woman and catching up with all my Men of Kinsey characters.
My second book in the series, For Tia's Pleasure - Men of Kinsey 2 will be gracing the halls of Siren Publishing in February 2012. Hopefully it won't be to long after that the last in the series will go out as well.
With the holiday season starting it is now time for me to really concentrate on my writing. See, I love Christmas but I hate all the commercialization of it. It detest going into the stores, usually starting Nov. 1, and having to listen to nothing but Christmas music. It makes me sick to see people putting Christmas lights on their houses before the end of October.
My idea of a great Christmas is spending time with my family and friends. Good food, great laughs and being woken up at 4 a.m. on Christmas morning, by the kids asking if they can go through their stockings yet. I'd prefer to have at least some snow on the ground and be able to go sledding and have snowball fights.
Nothing ruins my Christmas spirit more than going into crowded shopping centers and trying to shop while be tousled back and forth by people chasing after the elusive "perfect" gift. No store carries that particular product. At least not one in this realm of existence.
So unless I want to have all my shopping done by Nov 1st (which is never going to happen) I'll continue to bob and weave through the throngs of cranky shoppers, who probably feel exactly the same as I do about how they'd like to spend their Christmas but would never admit it because we've been programmed for so long to think that this is the season of giving. Not of oneself, however, but of expensive gifts.
Well this year I've decided to make a whole new tradition in my family. No one is allowed to speak of Christmas or presents or anything regarding the holidays until Dec. 1st and then and only then will I listen to any 'suggestions' from my kids on what Santa should bring them.
I do have to say though that I have been blessed with kidlets that rarely ask for a whole lot and are always happy and grateful for what they find in their stockings and under the tree.
So since it's not yet Dec.1st I won't wish you happy holidays yet. Just enjoy what life has given to you and be thankful and eternally grateful to whatever deity you worship or believe in, that you have a roof over your head and food in your stomach because I guarantee you that within a three block radius of your dwelling there is a child that goes hungry everyday and someone who doesn't have a warm place to sleep.
Welcome one and all...!!!
Good day to everyone!!!
I am a writer of erotic romance novels. I read them, I love them and I greatly admire the woman (and men) who write them. They are courageous in their writing and as we go along I will introduce you to some of my favorites.
