In-laws: You really don't have to put up with them!!

As the header reads: you really don't have to put up with your in-laws and that is the truth.
I'm an erotic romance novelist I have in-laws that are very religious.  I have come to realize that no matter what you do you just can't please some people.  When I worked as a Personal Assistant to the head of a major corporation, I worked to much and should spend more time at home with the kids...according to my in-laws.
When I managed a major retail store, there was to much pressure and I should be home with the kids...according to my in-laws.
When I finally decided to scale back and started working in management for a major Pharmacy, I wasn't living up to my potential...according to my in-laws.
Now that I'm a published author and a stay at home mom...I'm the spawn of Satan...according to my in-laws.


So I decided finally, to tell my in-laws to take a flying fucking leap off the shortest pier and that I didn't give a rat's ass about their opinions of me and my profession.  I love what I do and I have met the most wonderful people because of it.


Christ, even my ultra conservative brother, who I swear was spawned from Newt Gingrich's loins has read my book and even though it's not his thing he told me how proud he was of me.
Actually he said, "do ever let me read one of those again" but he had a big smile on his face.


My parents are gone but I can see my mom jumping up and down doing a happy dance in the heavens above.  And my dad, well he's right beside her and proud that I was doing what I loved to do.
